Josh Anderson was raised here in Evanston. He attended Utah State University and received a bachelor’s degree in special education. He started his teaching career in Pinedale where he worked for three years as his wife finished her teaching degree.
In 2011, he moved back to Evanston with his wife and two kids and taught in the school district. During that time Josh received a master’s degree in education leadership. Six years ago, Josh started Hayden Peak Academy which is a small school for students with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. While working with students in his school he received a post master’s degree certification in applied behavior science and is finishing up his requirements to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
When Josh isn’t working you can find him outdoors playing in the mountains. He loves to hike, climb, ski, and paraglide. Josh also loves to travel abroad and has spent time in India, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Iceland, and several countries in Europe. In addition, he loves to chase his two now middle schoolers around as they play soccer and run cross country.
