Vice Chair
Dusty Muir is a dedicated Special Education Teacher at Uinta County School District #1 in Evanston, Wyoming, where she has spent most of her life. Born in Roosevelt, Utah, Dusty was raised in Evanston and continues to call it home, where she lives with her husband and has raised their three sons.
Her commitment to education is reflected in her extensive academic background, which includes an Associate of Science in Secondary Science Education from Western Wyoming Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Science Education – Secondary Earth Science from Western Governors University, a Master of Arts in Science Education – Secondary Biological Education from Western Governors University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education, also from Western Governors University.
Dusty has been actively involved with the Special Olympics program in Evanston and helping statewide for over 10 years, serving as a parent, coach, and volunteer, where she finds fulfillment in helping athletes and students grow academically and socially.
When she’s not working, Dusty enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors, with favorite activities including riding four-wheelers, fishing, and camping, and she particularly loves visiting Yellowstone, Moab, and the beach, embracing the natural beauty of these destinations.
