As Executive Director of Disability:IN Uinta County, Wanda Rogers oversees the strategic direction of the organization. She also provides guidance on both a state and local level. Under her direction, Disability:IN Uinta County was recognized nationally as the Disability:IN 2015 Affiliate of the Year. That same year, the Evanston Chamber of Commerce recognized Wanda as the Business Person of the Year.
Wanda established the state-wide youth initiative, NextGen Mentoring. Through the program, youth with disabilities spend time with employers. The youth also job shadow, explore a variety of careers and participate in summer internships.
For over 25 years, Wanda Rogers has worked in the field of disability and diversity. She became an advocate as a result of having a child with Down Syndrome. Wanda devotes herself to advocating for people with disabilities. She believes in providing them with the education and skills to move forward. As part of her advocacy, Wanda also serves on local and statewide boards.
Wanda not only operates D:I-UCW, she also devotes time to her family and community. She resides in Evanston, WY with her husband, Rick. When not at work or home, she enjoys Wyoming’s outdoor adventures.
