Gina Jones

Executive Director

I graduated from the University of Wyoming, an undisclosed number of years ago, with a BA in Criminal Justice. After I graduated, I spent nine and half years working for the Youth Drug and Alcohol Court with some incredible teenagers who were trying to navigate life.

I moved to Utah for a year and when we returned to Wyoming, I was hired to work at a local bank worked there for a couple of months until I realized that giving people information about their bank accounts was not my calling in life. Luckily an opportunity came about for me to work at an elementary school as the Behavior Monitor helping kids manage big emotions in little bodies. In 2017, I left the school district to work for Region V BOCES at a brand-new school called Hayden Peak Academy where we served kids with severe behavior and emotional disabilities, teaching these kids that being a square peg trying to fit into a round hole doesn’t define their value, it represents the flaws in the system.

Due to some life changes, I went in search of something new and was fortunate enough to wind up in this new career as the Executive Director of Disability:In Uinta County where I am able to help employers see the benefits and ways to hire people with disabilities. I have spent my career helping others see their potential and advocating for them to get what they need to be successful.

I have three beautiful children, who are my entire world, heart, and soul, and five dogs who keep life interesting!  I believe that there is nothing that love and kindness can’t cure!  Together we can make the world a better place!
