Recently I attended a conference and had the opportunity to enjoy dinner with two
strangers. Throughout the dinner, one of the strangers began to ask questions about our
families, careers, challenges, and joys in life. We shared our past successes and struggles,
learning the depth of each other’s trials, accomplishments, and strength. By the time
dinner was over we were lifetime friends, knitted together in just a short time by our
stories. One thing I learned while visiting with these friends, is the value of telling your
story and listening to others.
Over the last 20 years, the UCBLN & MentorABILITY have witnessed many stories and
we want to share them with you. Anjoli Mosier will be reaching out to our community,
people with disabilities, employers, and others to hear their stories, and then share them
with you.
Through these stories you will gain a better understanding of the value of employing
people with disabilities, the struggles and accomplishment encountered along their
journey and the worth we all bring to our communities. We hope you find inspiration,
understanding, and determination as you read the individuals stories.
